Sugaring is a gentle, non-toxic alternative to waxing. Because the paste is comprised of only 3 ingredients (lemon, sugar, and water) it is tolerated by most skin types and much kinder to the skin in general. We mold the sugar into the hair follicle, softening it, and pulling in the direction of the hair growth, allowing for little to no breakage and an overall less painful experience. Because the sugar is only heated to about body temperature, it only adheres to hair and dead skin, therefore eliminating the chance of burning the skin. Results are smooth, non-irritated skin that lasts for 2-3 weeks. And because sugaring can remove the hair when it’s quite short (1/16-1/8”), this leads to near-permanent hair loss much quicker than with waxing.
